What It Takes      
|
The next step is soil preparation. This will vary from customer to customer depending on the existing conditions and what the project calls for. Goodway Landscape uses a 4-4-2 soil amendment for most yards (4% Nitrogen, 4% Phosphate, 2% Soluble Potash). Other landscapes require Humus (80% organic matter, 20% Humic Acids). We charge the same either way. These nutrients are vital to soil for a healthy vibrant landscape. Most projects call for 2 cubic yards for every 300 square feet . Grading, Excavation and Drainage: Some projects require additional grading and excavation beyond what happens during soil preparation. Likewise, additional drainage is also sometimes needed. This will be determined depending on what is existing.
